The brief
A2Ghee is a Jaipur brand selling ghee and saffron to customers across India. It was moving off an older store and needed one that could take payment the ways Indian shoppers pay, ship anywhere in the country, and charge 5% GST from the first order.
Built for A2Ghee in Jaipur, and named here with the client's permission.
The challenge
Most of the work in a store like this sits where shoppers never look until something breaks: whether their payment method is offered, whether cash on delivery is there, whether the parcel reaches a courier, and whether tax is added. All of it had to work on day one, and the catalogue had to move across from the old store.
The approach
Built on Shopify's Dawn theme, customised for the brand, with three sections written from scratch in Liquid: one on the Bilona process, one on where the products are sourced, and a trust strip. Checkout runs through Razorpay for cards, UPI, netbanking and wallets, with cash on delivery alongside, and orders hand off to Ekart for delivery.
